Hourglass, also known as an "organ case," made of brass, glass, and wood Each sand vial is made of glass and features a wax and fabric seal to keep the sand contained The elapsed times are indicated by the numbers on the vials The cabinet consists of a repoussé brass frame with an oblong base, featuring ten slender twisted columns secured at the base by hooks The upper section features a pediment depicting the bust of a man—possibly a helmeted officer—on a pedestal, along with military motifs and war regalia The entire structure is secured by a wooden frame with a hole that allows the cabinet to be rotated The hourglasses still contain fine sand (frozen in time) A similar model dated 1767 is depicted in the Delalande Gallery’s book on hourglasses, number 51, and in the book *Time Museum*, Volume 1, Part 3, 1984, by A.J.
