ÉMILE-JACQUES RUHLMANN (1879-1933) DESIGNER (MODEL OF) - ALFRED PORTENEUVE (1896-1949) PUBLISHER Based on the "Wiener" model (n° 2039 of the Ancien Référencier, n° 2434 of the Nouveau Référencier), the model designed around [1929], our piece of furniture made around 1935 Bookcase in Macassar ebony veneer on oak and lath core. The facade opens, in its center, by two full leaves in a stepped frame and, on each of its sides, by a series of open niches separated by removable shelves. The recessed plinth rests on a rectangular base with a step. The top also has a step. The lock plate (in two parts) in silvered bronze. H. 154,5 cm - W. 221 cm - D. 42 cm Condition of use. (accidents to the veneer) Provenance : Private collection. Work acquired on February 7, 1976 from the Gallery Knut Günther located at 43 rue Saint-Honoré Paris 1.
