Rudy MÉMIN (December 1930 – January 2026) - Lot 361
Rudy MÉMIN (December 1930 – January 2026) Useless metal machine Created by its inventor to emit light With wooden base and power button H. 19.5 cm - W. 13 cm - D. 13 cm Note: Rudy Memin enjoyed creating “useless machines” to demonstrate that one can create or own things without any practical purpose. An object does not necessarily have a specific function, but can still be beautiful or interesting even if it serves no practical purpose. To this end, these useless machines demonstrate this very point. For this machine, the inventor created an aesthetically pleasing device, resembling a turbine or steam engine, with numerous decorative details, but with no specific purpose other than to emit a small light. The machine is purely aesthetic.
