G. de LAIRESSE (1641-1711), after Set of two anatomical frames representing plates (numbered 6 and 10) describing the nervous system and the components of the brain. The engravings are taken from the work "Anatomia humani corporis, cantus et quinque tabulis, per artificiosis. G. de Lairesse ad vivum delineatis, demontrata" printed in Amsterdam by Joannis a Someren in 1685. The engraver is Govert BIDLOO and the designer is G. de LAIRESSE. Amsterdam, 1680-1700 Size (frame) 74 x 56 cm Note: The original work was printed in 1680, then reissued with Bidloo's engravings in 1685, and again in 1698 with COWPER's engravings.
