CHINA - Lot 110
CHINA Pair of porcelain groups mounted with bronzes in Europe, featuring two figurines representing a seated Chinese figure holding an enameled bisque wicker jar, the skin treated in ochre, the garment in blue, and the jars in celadon green. They stand on a French rocaille ormolu base with foliage and foliate scrolls, from which emerges a three-branched tree on which stand two covered Chinese porcelain boxes in the shape of fruit, the branch of which serves as a grip. Next to the figure are Japanese lacquer dishes surrounded by a gilded bronze border with a black background decorated with gold flowers. The Chinese porcelains date from the Qianlong period (1736-1795). Later European mounts H. 20 cm - l. 18 cm
