LUC LANEL (1893-1965) for CHRISTOFLE for CGT Transat" model created in 1935 for the first class of the Normandie liner (1935-1947) Truncated cone-shaped bucket with smooth body bearing the CGT monogram of the Compagnie Générale Transatlantique. Ball-shaped side handles on applied plate Silver-plated metal with "CHRISTOFLE" hallmark and stamp France, 1935 Height 21 cm (slight dent) Note: Luc Lanel was head of electroplating, then artistic director at Christofle. During the creation of the Normandie liner, he was called upon to create various models for the liner, including two series: "ondulation" in 1933 and "transat" in 1935. At the same time, Lanel designed the new CGT logo, which lasted well into the 1960s. Many of Lanel's designs were subsequently reissued.
