At the request of Louis Courajod, curator at the Musée du Louvre, a mold of the bust of this Virgin was made in 1890 by the Musée du Louvre's molding workshop, by the Drôme statuary Paul Emile Millefaut. The success of the subject led to a number of subsequent plaster and bronze editions.
