Three-trimmed leather belt (anchor, scallop and rocaille). France, Third Republic - Naval officer's sword model 1837, gilded brass mount, pommel and joint bow with oak leaf and scallop shell, plate with naval anchor on a background of four pennants and crowns with scallop shell. Piston-operated folding counterplate. Straight blade with gutter and leather scabbard with two brass fittings. France, second half of the 19th century
