DESCARTES (René). Lettres de Mr Descartes. Paris, C. Angot, 1666-1667. 3 vols. pet. in-4, brown granite calf, gilt title and tomaison on spines with gilt and ornate nerves (worn period binding). First complete edition, decorated with woodcuts. Volumes I and II appeared separately in 1657 and 1659. Ff uniformly browned and soiled. Joints split in binding.
