Universal equinoctial sundial in brass and iron. Type of table sundial invented by Meurand and described in Bedos de Celles' 1774 work. Square-based turntable with plumb bob and stabilizing screw. Bears the number 5. Probably a period ptototype for the development of a universal sundial.
