Late Isfahan (Iran) Shah period, circa 1960. Dimensions: 212 x 149 cm Kork quality silky lambswool velvet on cotton foundation. Good overall condition. Beautiful polychromy. Royal blue field with curvilinear stems decorated with polychrome flowering palmettes framing a large central ruby and ivory floral rosette. Four spandrels reminiscent of the central medallion. Triple border, the main one in ruby with multicolored bulbs and flower buds.
