THE FIRST FRENCH CONSTITUTION, ESTABLISHING A CONSTITUTIONAL MONARCHY. Beautiful small edition, printed on wove paper by François-Ambroise Didot, known as the elder. It is illustrated with a frontispiece showing the king accepting the Constitution and a folding color map. The work ends with the calendar for the leap year 1792. Good edition printed on blue paper, illustrated with a frontispiece engraved by De Launay after Borel. A charming copy in contemporary morocco, with a gilt revolutionary motif (sword and Phrygian cap) on the spine. Some wear to the binding, small scratches on the second plate. [ALMANACH]. Calendar of the court, drawn from the ephemeris, for the leap year of one thousand seven hundred and four hundred and twenty. Paris : Veuve Hérissant, 1780. - In-24, red morocco, gilt roulette and foliage framed on the boards, rosette at the corners, spine decorated with nerves, gilt roulette inside, lining and endpapers of light blue tabis, gilt edges (binding of the period). Beautiful copy in a charming contemporary binding, very well preserved. Old account note on the penultimate leaf. FLORIAN (Jean-Pierre Claris de). Galatea, pastoral novel; imitated from Cervantes. Fourth edition. Paris : printing house of Didot l'aîné, 1785. - In-18, red morocco, triple gilt fillet framing the covers, smooth spine decorated, inner gilt roulette, gilt edges (period binding). Charming edition illustrated with a frontispiece, a dedication leaf, a portrait of Cervantes and 4 plates, engraved by Guyard after Flouest. This is a reprint of the 1783 edition, with the same figures. A good copy despite a dull corner. Small trace of wetness on the bottom of the last two plates.
