Double dagger called "Katar" (or Katara) for hunting tigers and killing the animal. Steel model with a double damascened blade, damascened and silver inlaid decoration representing scrolls and foliage all around the dagger as well as on the sheath. The Katar is a type of Indian push dagger with a characteristic horizontal H-shaped handle. This type of Katar has two parallel bars and a thick triangular blade allowing for a strong attack. Mainly used in Rajahstan by the ruling classes, especially the Rajputs. India, Rajahastan Province, Early 20th century Length 30 - Width 8 cm
