Steam engine signed Froment (Paul Gustave Froment (1815-1865)) in Paris.
Hypocycloid mechanism, composed of two toothed wheels and an escapement allowing to change a vertical movement to a horizontal one and vice versa. This mechanism can be compared to Murray's machine. Probably used as a pump or to drive a belt. Green paint and varnished brass
Height 40, width 18.5 cm. Nice condition (missing the boiler)
In a wooden transport box. Around 1830-1850.
