This work published in the aftermath of the Camp du Drap d'or is dedicated to Louise de Savoie, mother of François I; it traces the origins of the peoples of Flanders, Artois and Hainaut since the baptism of Clovis. The illustration includes four large woodcuts: Charles VIII's entry into Naples, the author at his writing table and two battle and siege scenes. The small in-text woodcuts evoke the baptism of Clovis and represent King Philip Augustus, Louis XI Old handwritten annotation after the colophon. Incomplete with blank leaves. Some marginal wetnesses.
