Pallasites are sliced to reveal their great beauty with these translucent peridots (olivine crystals) formed in space 4.5 billion years ago. The peridots are as if naturally set in the very shiny metal matrix with polishing. This metal matrix has a geometrical pattern that can only be found in meteorites, the so-called Widmanstätten structure. Cutting, preparing and polishing such a large pallasite is a performance.
