Manuscript on paper with 15 lines of text per page in naskhi Arabic in black ink, some characters and sura titles in red ink. Double-page unwân frontispiece (first page missing) illuminated in gold and polychrome, the text encircled by a frieze of bifid palmettes and trimmed with flowers. Throughout the text, the titles of the suras are inscribed in cartouches on a gold background, and the verses are separated by gilded discs, with some marginal floral illumination. Text ends with a prayer, the last lines framed by floral illumination. Bound in brown morocco with green textile covers. On first page, handwritten dedication in French: "Je l'ai donné à Hafiz Effendi, 1758 []" and Arabic inscriptions also citing the same person.
