Manufacture of NAST in Paris Important cookie clock representing an "Allegory of Love making Time pass". Chronos holding his gilt bronze scythe is seated with a putto in a boat sailing on sea waves inlaid with rosettes, nails and palmettes in chased and gilt bronze. Love holds an oar in gilt bronze, while a sea anchor, also in gilt bronze, symbolizes hope. The movement of the clock in gilt bronze with wire movement. The NAST signature in full letters on the back is not visible because the cookie base is nested in the mahogany veneer counter base resting on four gilt bronze feet. The gilded bronze border with palmette motifs surrounds the cookie group. First Empire period around 1810 Height 34 - Length 42,5 - Width 18 cm (some missing parts and accidents) Note : Model created in 1805, of which the first examples are known since 1806. One of them was exhibited at the Exposition des Produits de l'Industrie in 1815 and in 1819.
