BRETON FRERES (1851-1864) Iron planetarium on turned wooden stand with label on base Composed of planets in the form of lozenges (with the name and description of the star), revolving around a brass sphere symbolizing the sun. The moon and earth are symbolized by two spheres. Moving mechanism. All eight planets are represented, up to Neptune. A card indicates the "telescopic" planets (Ceres, Palias, Juno, Vesta, etc.) and bears the date 1856.
