Model 1882 infantry officer's saber. Iron and horn mounting. Oval-shaped cap attached to the ferrule, three-pronged hilt with jointed arch and curved, drop-shaped quillon. Horn spindle with two alternating filigrees. T-backed straight blade by Couleaux & Cie in Klingenthal. Single-strap iron scabbard with leather hanger and symmetrical stinger. Total length 98 cm. France, Third Republic period. A lanyard and carrying case are included.
