Magnificent marine chronometer signed L.Leroy & Cie in Paris and bearing the number 1432. Circa 1880-1900
in brass in its varnished mahogany box.
Box with double lid bearing the signature on an ivory plate "Leroy N° 1432".
Complete and in working order, with winding key, closing key, Navy Hydrographic Service number book and carrying case with leather strap.
The bottom of the carrying case still has its green felt.
Silvered dial, Roman numerals for the hours, Arabic numerals for the seconds at 12 o'clock, brass hands.
The movement has a trigger escapement, balance shafts, blued steel spiral, diamond-chromed escapement wheel, rocket-chain. The system is made of brass or bi-material

Slight crack on the ivory plate.
Case size: 19 cm x 16.8 cm x 16.8 cm
Transport box size: 25 cm x 24 cm x 33 cm.
In the 1970s, the device was on board the Elan in Brest, then was transferred to the OIC.
The aircraft finished at the manoeuvring school in November 1982, then at the Ecole Navale.
