LS Duc de PADOUE Cousin of the Emperor Napoleon 1 st. Letter from the Duke of PADOUE to Joseph BONAPARTE on 18 November in Paris. He intervenes about the succession of Madame and the Emperor. We learn that many objects, such as gold snuff boxes, medals and clothes, are in a deplorable state. The woollen effects are eaten away by worms and many are in urgent need of restoration. Mention is also made of the law of exile which condemns the family to perpetual banishment and the forfeiture of their civil rights. ( 8 p. in-4 ).
