Letter from the Duke of PADOUE addressed to Cardinal FESCH on February 25, 1836, in Paris. He offers his condolences a few weeks after the death of Madame Mother. She died on February 2, 1836 in Rome at the great drama of the Duke of Padoue who was sorry to know that she had died on foreign soil without her relatives. This short letter testifies to the special ties that the various protagonists exchanged in the matter of the succession of the Emperor's estate.
The letter is written on a black-bordered paper typical of letters of mourning.
