Souvenirs from the Xavier Uhlmann collection.
Cartridge belt that accompanied Uhlmann and the Imperial Prince to Africa.
Cream-coloured canvas with 9 compartments, three large and six small for ammunition. Flap closure with six mother-of-pearl buttons.
We do not know whether this piece was part of the imperial souvenirs of Officer Uhlmann or to himself. But somehow it witnessed the late Prince's last expedition.
Attached is a milk jug with a picture of the Camden place chislehurst kent. Marked "Manufactured at Sonneberg", Accident
Xavier uhlmann Officer and footman of the Imperial Prince was the only relative to have accompanied the latter on his fateful and final journey .
